Asus Bamboo Series Laptop
One of the hottest trends of last year and the next is sustainable design, and Asus has done its part with the Asus Bamboo Series Laptop, which is now officially available in Taiwan, and will be making its way across Europe and the Americas soon enough. Available in 11.1 and 12.1 inches, these cool, Moso-bamboo-clad laptops are eco-friendly in their design, production, function, and eventual disposal. As for specs, 12.1-inch model offers the Intel T9400, P8600 or P8400 Core 2 Duo processor, 256MB nVidia GeForce 9300M GS graphics, up to 4GB SDRAM, a 320GB hybrid HDD with 256MB of Flash. The 11.1-inch model comes with the Intel Core Duo U7600 processor, Intel GMA X3100 graphics, up to 4GB SDRAM, 1.8-inch 9.5mm PATA 80/100/120GB and 32GB SDD. The integrated webcam, 8-in-1 card reader, a Super-Multi Double Layer DVD, and Asus' Super Hybrid Engine power-saving technology – which claims can boost battery life by 35 to 75 per cent – round these babies out.
